Java or HTML Refresh
Pages can be selected to Auto Refresh on timers set for each page type. The default is HTML based refresh which works on almost all browsers, including PDAs. This type of refresh is best for trackside networks.
The alternative is to select Java refresh. This displays a countdown in the browser status bar. Most PDAs don't support Java so this is more useful for Live Webcasting.
File Extensions
The usual file extension for generated pages is .htm. The master index is duplicated with .html extension for use in simple Web Server situations.
If other extensions are required to link with scripting systems, you can select .asp or .php.
The Live Race Data Directory and Live Open Practice Data Directory are specific to each database, so different databases can write data to separate locations.
